Another Free Day

Dudu Lagoon

Day 6

We went to Dudu Lagoon for our last day. I had a lot of fun. I had never seen such a beautiful lagoon. There were waterfalls, cliffs to jump off of, and caves. This was truly a breathtaking experience witnessing all the nature and the energy of the area. We walked around the scenery for a little and were swimming in the lagoon. It kind of made my ears hurt from all the pressure. Because we swam in the lake I could not touch the bottom, even though I am tall.

There was even a playground that we sang on. We went to the beach again and relaxed. I still played in the ocean. I knew how to take the waves this time!

Before the bonfire, I walked on the beach and cracked open a coconut. It took a lot of time of me to throw it against a rock. Nonetheless, I got it open and drank the juice. At night we had a bonfire. This was a super fun experience because some of the local Dominicans let us use their speaker. There was a little dance circle where they joined in. I’m a dancer so it was cool to hear what kind of music they listen to and their style of dancing. It is very similar to Americans. They just vibe out to the music, and that is why dancing is so universal.
